Our Story

Rick Burnette | Import Service Center

In March 1990, Rick Burnette, began his career with Discount Import Parts and Service, which had been in business for 27 years. After several months of hard work and company reorganization, Rick became a partner in the business. In August of 1990, the business was renamed Discount Import Service, Inc. Then, in September of 1992, the partnership was dissolved, and Rick became the single owner of Discount Import Service, Inc. He renamed the business Import Service Center and began servicing vehicles. We currently have a 6000 square foot facility with 14 bays to service all of your automotive needs.
Mr. Burnette, a second generation Tucsonan, started as a tech trainee in 1975 at Van Wyk Mazda. He worked his way into service management, and, throughout his career, grew into multi-line Japanese and European dealerships. With his 40-plus years of technical and managerial knowledge, he has created memorable automotive repair experiences for his many customers, meeting a variety of auto service needs.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide dealer-quality service at reasonable rates, with a personal service experience. We continually search for the best ways to maintain your vehicle and to make sure it meets or exceeds the manufacturer’s recommendations. We strive to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and equipment to service your automotive needs. Our thinking is that as your vehicle ages, its service needs change. We pride ourselves in staying current on those needs and updated with the latest in technical training for older vehicles.

When you are looking for service or repair on your vehicle, price should not be the first thing when making that important decision on who or where to take your vehicle too. In the 26 years, we have been in business our reputation alone speaks for itself. Our integrity in the way we do business is much more valuable than a low price on a service or repair. You truly get what you pay for. If you are looking for integrity and quality, then I hope you will give us a chance to earn your trust and business. 

I started this path in my career March 22nd, 1991. I could not have done it without the dedicated and reliable employees, excellent mentors that taught me along the way, supportive family and friends, and the loyal and trusting customers that allowed me to service their vehicles while living my dream.
